About the workroom
Plaid skirts and single-breasted jackets from Satu Mare
ADELA-ANDRADA JURCA works from Str. Principală in Cidreag, a village in Satu Mare where the Someș runs flat through the fields and the winter arrives early. The collection is built on a single pairing: a plaid or pleated skirt under a single-breasted jacket, cut in the same warm range so any jacket closes over any skirt on the rail. Four skirts, from a pleated mini with pockets to a wine-red plaid midi, sit beside four jackets in brown, coffee, khaki and red. It is a wardrobe of eight pieces rather than a season of thirty, because a shape that works in March should still work in November.
The check is matched, the seam is pressed
A plaid skirt is decided at the side seam and a jacket at the shoulder. Panels are cut so the check runs continuously across the seam and the zip rather than breaking at the hip, and every waistband is worn for a full working day before approval. Jackets are padded lightly at the shoulder, pressed open at the seam and checked again once the lining is set in, with patch pockets measured so they sit level when the jacket is closed. Hems are measured against the shoe they will be worn with. If a sample lifts at the hem or pulls at the armhole, the pattern goes back to the table rather than onto the site.
Delivery, returns and care
Orders leave Cidreag within one to two business days and reach European Union addresses in three to six days. You have fourteen days from delivery to return anything, free inside the EU, with refunds issued within fourteen days of approval. Plaid and wool blends ask for little: brush the seam, hang the jacket on a shaped hanger and wash the skirt cool. If you are unsure which jacket size closes comfortably over a knit, send your bust and shoulder measurements and we will compare them with the sample.
